John Shondell is back for another season with The Academy Boiler Juniors and is a founder of the club.
Prior to his time at Purdue, John was the Varsity Head Coach at New Castle (Ind.) High School for nine years. He was named North Central Conference Coach of the Year in 1996, 1997, 2000, and 2001, and was also named Class 4A Indiana State Coach of the Year in 2001. John has also previously served on coaching staffs at Muncie-Burris and Delta High Schools.
John was a setter at Ball State University (NCAA Div. I/II). He lives in Lafayette with his wife, Laura, and daughters, Allie and Lexi.
