Boys Volleyball at Boiler Juniors

The Academy Boiler Juniors is proud to announce that we will be starting boys travel volleyball in Tippecanoe County! Boiler Juniors has created a culture of excellence with our girls programs and we are excited to now include boys. “We have developed a national brand on the boys side in Indianapolis,” stated Boys Director Andrew Fuller from the Academy of Indianapolis, “I am thrilled to help bring what has worked for us over the years in Indianapolis to the Greater Lafayette area where there is so much potential and momentum in the sport of volleyball.” Fuller will help oversee and guide the Boiler program from Indianapolis.

Boiler Juniors Club Director, Jasmine Fullove, has been a driving force in starting boys volleyball opportunities in Lafayette and believes this is the right move at the right time. “We are so excited to add boys to our club this year.  As volleyball continues to grow in the Tippecanoe area, it only makes sense to provide boys the opportunity to play this great sport at Boiler Juniors.”

Leading the Boys Program will be local native and current Lafayette Central Catholic Girls Head Coach, Brad McCarter. While at LCC, Brad has led the Knights to three state championships since taking over the program in 2008.

“Brad has a deep history of boys volleyball in the Lafayette area where he led the Bronchos (of Lafayette Jefferson High School) to a state championship before competing at the NCAA Division I level at Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne,” Fuller mentioned. “It only makes sense to let someone of his expertise lead the way in his hometown.”

“I am both humbled and honored having been chosen to help expand the growth of boys volleyball within greater Lafayette and the surrounding community. Over the past 28 years as both a player and coach, this sport has proven to be very important to me and my family,” stated Brad McCarter. “I’m excited about the opportunity to share my experience with the fine young men that will become the face of the Boiler Juniors program. It is my hope that they too will one day develop a passion for the sport of volleyball as I did many years ago.”

“There is no one else who is better suited for this position than Brad who has been a tremendous asset to Boiler Juniors, Lafayette Central Catholic, and a huge advocate for boys volleyball in Lafayette,” mentioned Fullove.

The Boiler Juniors Boys program will start with Summer Regional teams. This program will consist of five weeks of team and individual training with a club coach while participating in two local tournaments. Registration will open on March 27th.
