Joelle has coached high school and middle school volleyball for 3 years at Lafayette Central Catholic. Coach Joelle was part of the coaching staff that won the Class 1A State Championship in 2017. She has coached club volleyball for 7 seasons. Coach Joelle has also been a volleyball camp coach in several different settings since 2005.

Joelle was a 4 year starting middle blocker for Rossville High School where she finished 10th in the IHSVCA voting for Miss volleyball in 2004. She was a three-time IHSVCA All-State performer including back-to-back first team selections in 2003 and 2004, honorable mention All-State in 2002 and she also earned three consecutive first team All-Hoosier Heartland Conference honors (2002-04). Joelle ended her RHS career as the standard bearer for single-match kills (32) and blocks (16), and single-season kills (583), hitting percentage (.395), and blocks (189). She also set school records for career kills (1,371) and blocks (450).

Joelle played 4 seasons of club for Performance Point under coaches Kim McConaha and Chad Marshall. Joelle played 3 years of Division 1 volleyball at Northern Illinois University under head coach, Ray Gooden. During her time at NIU, Joelle battled an injury that ultimately ended her career in 2008. Joelle still plays recreation volleyball in adult leagues and tournaments.

She studied Audiology in college and graduate school. Joelle is a Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist, and as a hearing aid user herself she is very dedicated to helping her patients hear their best.
