Chandra will be back for another season at The Academy Boiler Juniors. In 2019, she assisted the 11 Elite Gold team that won the AAU National Championship and did the same in 2021 for 13 Elite Gold when they brought home the title. She is also the Head Varsity Coach at Warsaw Community High School.
A 1995 Warsaw Community High School graduate, Chandra earned First-Team All-State honors before attending the University of Missouri (NCAA Div. I), where she finished her career with 12 school records and two NCAA records. She was the team MVP during her senior season and a team captain for her final three seasons at Missouri. She also received the Coach’s Award during her junior season with the Tigers.
Chandra has 16 years of coaching experience at the middle school, high school, and collegiate levels. She was previously the assistant coach at Taylor University and spent five seasons, before becoming the head coach, as the Varsity Assistant and JV Head Coach at Warsaw (Ind.) Community High School. Under her guidance, the Warsaw JV program amassed a 114-14 record and won three Northern Lakes Conference tournament titles.
Chandra also served as the Club Director for the Warsaw Dunes Volleyball Club while providing instruction for the 11 Black National Travel Team.
No stranger to the Crossroads League, Chandra also coached from 2010 to 2011 at Grace College (NAIA), helping to found the Grace JV program.
Chandra and her husband, Abe, have three children: AJ, Ellie, and Eden.
