Marli is excited to start another season at Boiler Juniors! Marli is a student at Purdue University.
Her volleyball career started in the fourth grade when she joined Western Boone’s Volleyball Youth League, and she has been obsessed with the sport ever since. Marli has played six years of club volleyball, three of them being at Boiler Juniors on the Elite Gold Team. She has played as a defensive specialist/libero on her high school’s varsity team for the past four years and has been captain for two years. Marli also received the Varsity Volleyball Leadership Award her sophomore year and was recognized as SAC First Team All-Conference her junior year.
Marli’s passion for volleyball took a unique turn a few years ago when she discovered her love for coaching. At the beginning of her freshman year, Marli started her own business teaching volleyball lessons to elementary and middle school aged kids. Since then, her business has been very successful and has grown dramatically. She has even used her platform as a volleyball lessons instructor to hold an event called “Dig for a Cause” where she raised over $200 for local food banks. In addition to her experience teaching volleyball lessons, Marli has also coached on Western Boone’s Volleyball Youth League for the past three years as an assistant/co-coach. She can’t wait to start her first year at Boilers and is looking forward to a great season!
